Looters are exploiting the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles by disguising themselves as fire fighters and utility workers to gain access to and steal from homes that were evacuated.
Sean Ben, the founder of private security company Nastec Security Services, told Fox News his firm has seen looters in LA dressing up in broad daylight in attempts to fool law enforcement and first responders.

“What we see is that people are trying to improvise to get in wearing uniforms of fire marshals and uniform[s] of security companies, wearing vest[s] [that look] like people from the power company, and they’re trying to get in in any way and [by] any [means],” Ben said.
“They’re wearing some white helmets, coming with clipboards if needed. They have many shapes of how to conceal themselves [before] coming inside,” he added.
Ben went on to say his company immediately confronts unknown people roaming the neighborhoods, and can immediately determine if they’re legitimate.
The intel comes as police had arrested 20 looters as of Thursday, with no further details released.
The disguised looters add another criminal element to the tragic situation being blamed on the city’s leftist leaders’ incompetence, with law enforcement also investigating suspected arsonists accused of starting the blazes.
