The harpies of The View did not take Donald Trump’s historic election victory well on Wednesday.
Co-host Sunny Hostin, choking back tears, kicked off the meltdown by explaining how she was “profoundly disturbed” by the election results and worried about civil rights and women’s rights.
“I worry about my children’s future, especially my daughter, who now has less rights than I have,” she said, her voice shaking. “I remember my father telling me many, many years ago that I was the first person in his family to enjoy full civil rights. And now I have less civil rights than I had when he told me that.”

“I think this was a referendum of cultural resentment of this country,” she added.
To co-host Joy Behar’s credit, she admitted Trump’s victory was the will of the people and said “the system worked” even though she didn’t get the outcome she wanted.
“My takeaway is that the system worked. We live in a democracy. People spoke. This is what people wanted,” she said. “I vehemently disagree with the decision Americans made, but I feel very, very hopeful that we have a democratic system in this country. We should value it.”

Hostin and co-host Whoopi Goldberg offered their own postmortems of the Harris campaign, claiming Kamala “ran a flawless campaign” despite the fact she only ran for “two months” following the Democrat Party’s coup against Joe Biden over the summer.
“Aside from buck-naked dancing on the table, I don’t know what else she could have done!” Goldberg exclaimed.

“She ran a flawless campaign,” Hostin added, noting she raised over $1 billion in campaign donations.

Behar and co-host Sara Haines also called for more social media and conservative media censorship to prevent another Republican victory in the future.
“It would help if we could regulate social media, because one of the biggest defenders is– D.C and Congress have not been able to do one thing in regard to the rogue corporations of social media,” she said, referring to X (formerly Twitter), which was purchased by Elon Musk in 2022.
The View just blamed Fox News, @elonmusk, social media and @X for Trump’s massive win. They also called for regulating social media to stop "disinformation" and indoctrination in schools where kids would be taught as early as nursery school to believe the legacy media. pic.twitter.com/Bkzbgzx2FP

Hostin went on to scold “uneducated white women” and “Latino men” for voting against their interests by choosing Trump.
NEW: The View’s Sunny Hostin wonders why “uneducated white women” and “latino men” aren’t smart enough to vote in their own best interests:
