Former First Lady Melania Trump excoriated the FBI’s 2022 raid of Mar-a-Lago in a video posted on X Saturday and warned that the rights of Americans “must be respected.”
The video shows the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution set to music and then features images of the Trumps’ Florida estate as she slams the Bureau’s raid.
“I never imagined my privacy would be invaded by the government here in America,” Melania said in the video. “The FBI raided my home in Florida and searched through my personal belongings. This is not just my story, it serves as a warning to all Americans, a reminder that our freedom and rights must be respected.”

Melania Trump’s video ended with an image of her upcoming memoir, “Melania,” which comes out Oct. 1.
FBI agents recovered over 100 classified documents after raiding Mar-a-Lago in Aug. 2022, which Trump called a “politically motivated” action.
Trump was facing 40 charges brought by special counsel Jack Smith related to his alleged mishandling of classified records and attempts to obstruct the government’s attempt to return them.
But U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the case in July, ruling Smith was not lawfully appointed.
Trump said Melania “felt very violated” from the raid after agents also searched through her personal effects.
“She felt very violated. I mean, this is a terrible thing,” he said in Sept. 2022. “They go into her closet, they go through her dresses, and who knows what else, and it wasn’t left the way it — they found it.”
This comes days after Melania released a video on X raising questions about the attempted assassination of her husband on July 13, claiming “there is definitely more to this story and we need to uncover the truth.”
“I can’t help but wonder why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech,” she pointed out.
