Gun-grabber Francis “Beto” O’Rourke crashed a press conference held by Texas GOP leaders on the Uvalde school shooting to grandstand his anti-gun politics.
The Democrat gubernatorial candidate disrupted the event held by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Wednesday in an attempt to shame Republicans for standing by the Second Amendment in the aftermath of the Robb Elementary School shooting that left 19 children and 2 teachers dead.
Video of the event shows O’Rourke rush the stage to wag his finger at Abbott, Sen. Ted Cruz (R), Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), and others, asserting that they’re “doing nothing” to prevent more mass shootings.
“This is on you until you choose to do something,” O’Rourke remarked.
“Sit down,” Cruz snapped.
Paxton chimed in: “Excuse me. You’re out of line and an embarrassment.”
Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin stepped up to shut down Beto’s grandstanding: “Sir, you are out of line! Please leave this auditorium! I can’t believe you’re a sick son of a bitch who would come to a deal like this to make a political issue!”
O’Rourke was quickly escorted out of the press conference by a pair of officers.
As Infowars reported, Democrat lawmakers, celebrities, media figures, and activists were quick to politically exploit the tragic Uvalde shooting to advance their gun control agenda just hours after the incident on Tuesday.
O’Rourke’s favorability is currently trailing Abbott’s by about 7 percent, according to a recent RealClearPolitics poll.
Ironically, O’Rourke just days earlier claimed Texans were tired of Abbott’s “political stunts and fireworks.”
