Citizens of one Houston, Texas neighborhood are searching for answers after three local pet cats were found mutilated over the past two weeks.
“My mom was out walking her dog, and she passed by, saw that a black cat was severed in half,” Houston resident Jackson Hime told KPRC2.

The deceased animals reportedly lived in the nearby neighborhood, with KPRC2 showing an image of a calico named, “Stella.”
The local news outlet says some of the cats found in the area had their “paws cleanly chopped off.”
“We have not found any blood around any of the bodies that we’ve picked up and all their internal organs are still around,” Hime said, adding, “It’s disgusting. It’s frightening. For this to happen three times in two weeks when we haven’t seen anything like this in 30 years, I find it hard to believe that that’s just a random animal attack.”
Houston Police animal cruelty detectives claim the cleanly chopped off paws and cats severed in half aren’t enough “evidence to know if this was done by an animal or a person.”
The bizarre cat killings come as Americans are caught in a debate surrounding whether or not Haitian “migrants” in Ohio are harvesting and murdering local animals, including cats, to eat and use for voodoo rituals.
